The Stud

Three units. One breeding program.

The JMEN roster is spread across three integrated stud farms — origin in Orlândia, sport development in Indaiatuba and international expansion in Argentina.

The origin.

Historic seat of the breeding program. Four decades shaping our own broodmares and developing the JMEN line in the countryside of São Paulo. Most foals are born here, and central genetic selection runs from this property.

Sport training.

Training and sport development center for JMEN horses. The facility focuses on technical preparation of horse-rider pairs, with an arena, indoor school, and a team specialized in showjumping. Most horses leaving for seasons in Paranapiacaba and Barueri are based here.

Permanence

The Italian word that was missing at Haras Agromen. Forty-six years. Three locations. Five generations.

Horses come and go. Competitions come and go. Owners come and go. The haras remains.
Brunello Cucinelli, house philosopher · proposal

The house began before the arena — and will continue after it.

Seven things that have not changed in forty-six years.

  1. One observes for a month before deciding.
New horse, new mare, stallion under review — first comes the time of looking.
  2. The foal logbook is handwritten.
Alongside the digital system. Not instead. In parallel, because one sees what the other does not.
  3. Crossing decisions are made by three voices.
Veterinarian, breeder, technician. Never two. Never four. Three opinions, one decision.
  4. Expected birth is monitored 24h.
Always someone from the house, never outsourced. Whoever receives the foal must know the dam.
  5. Training only begins at three years.
Before that: handling, bone structure, observation. Haste breaks the horse.
  6. The horse never leaves the programme.
Even retired, even sold — remains in the JMEN registry. Belongs.
  7. The house replies in writing.
A client's question is answered by someone who signs. Who replies is someone from the house, not a bot.

“What is wanted is simple. What is done takes the time it takes.”

Carta do Fabio

Time is raw material here. Not an obstacle. Those who understand this, stay. Those who don't, leave on their own — the house has never asked anyone to go.

Horses come and go. Competitions come and go. Owners come and go. The haras remains — and that sentence is not nostalgia, it's method. Permanence here means lucid continuity: knowing that what is being done now will make sense twenty years from now, in other bodies, on other legs, on another course.

This page, this website, this digital record — all of this is part of the work. But the real work, itself, happens in Orlândia, in Indaiatuba, in Argentina, every day, in silence, for forty-six years now. Today is just one more.
